DOROTHY, ONE YEAR LATER We are overjoyed to share that Dorothy, the fragile 14 year-old with tuberculosis we introduced to you a year ago, has made an amazing comeback. Dorothy was hanging onto life by a very thin thread. So sick and so sad, she refused to eat, speak or take her medications.
We have many sick children in our care. One of them is Dorothy, a fragile 14-year old with TB. She is extremely sick and so sad she refused to eat, take medication, or talk about her sorrows.
Lack of hygiene facilities has been a constant source of worry and frustration for Beraca Medical Center and House of Hope orphanage. Patients at the hospital are treated by doctors but become even more ill from infections. Weak children are also at risk. So building a septic treatment facility has been a big priority for
We are happy to say that now progress with the septic treatment facility is far along at Beraca Medical Center and House of Hope. We are also working closely with the staff of Beraca Medical Center to upgrade their facilities.
