Jumalia has overcome many obstacles, including illness and extreme poverty. Her thank you letter shows how your support matters.
After coming to House of Hope, she was able to finish high school and is now enrolled in a kindergarten teacher’s training course. We look forward to her return to House of Hope and to her contributions to our little ones as a loving and talented teacher. Most important, she sets an example of how challenges can be surmounted and will inspire other children to get a good education. Here is her letter to you… (translated)
Good Morning/Good Evening
My name is Jumalia Louis. I am happy to write you this little letter.
I came to House of Hope when I was 13 years old. I am now 26 years old. I was very sick, but with the medicines House of Hope gave me, God healed me. It was the money you sent to House of Hope that enabled me to go to school. Your gifts allowed me to move ahead in school. I started in the second grade and now I am in the last year. You financial gifts have helped me move ahead a lot. Thank you for your support. God bless you and your family.
Jumalia
