The co-director of House of Hope, Linda, knows all too well what it is like to be hopeless. When she came to House of Hope as a child, she was unable to walk. In northwest Haiti, those who are disabled do not have prospects for survival. House of Hope saved Linda’s life and now she is helping a child, Lethnie, who faces the same struggles.z

Lethnie was paralyzed by Pott’s disease, a form of tuberculosis outside of the lungs that attacks and destroys the spine. Her already bleak future became even bleaker. House of Hope was her lifeline, and here she is learning from Linda that it is possible to live a full life without having full use of her body.

Lethnie is doing well and is quickly becoming Linda’s “right hand man.” They are a formidable force for good here at House of Hope!
